PHP if statement with multiple not equal conditions

I like to think of this one as AND OR confusion. This is based on actual code found within Sugar CRM so if it threw you for a loop your not alone. I have reported the bug to them, however as of 6/25/2011 it still has not been addressed. Now lets make sure we do not fall victim to this. Ok this is a simple one however I cannot tell you how many times this […]

Photoshop One Click Save to Web

Some times you run across items on the internet that are so life changing that you have to stop everything and share the knowledge. Well this is one of those tidbits that will surely save me time every single week. Normally when a designer hands off a photoshop file to me to extract one graphic to replace another on the web, or a simple element slices are way over kill. Plus more and more all […]

Introducing mootools.tipsy

Updated 08/22/2011 to version 1.0 After developing this blog I was introduced to tipsy a very popular jQuery plugin. I was so impressed with it that I thought I would take a look to see if anyone has ported it to mooTools. After poking around the “interwebs” i couldn’t find anything that I thought was close enough… So I though I would go ahead and bang out the code. No CSS styles or Images required […]

Javascript equivalent of PHP’s in_array() function

That is one of many reasons why you may want to research mooTools or jQuery and start using it in your projects. From MooTools: Array method: contains Tests an array for the presence of an item. Syntax: Arguments: item – […]

Introducing mooTypewriter a Mootools Typewriter Class

One of the really cool things about Mootools, jQuery or almost any other javascript library or framework of your choice is the really cool effects you can create within your projects. Whether your trying to create a cool effect over an image, think flash banner javascript replacement, or if your simply trying to update the very stale non compliant html marquee, this solution may work well for you. Download, documentation and demo links will be […]

Convert RSS pubDate to MySQL Datetime

Today in creating an application to parse through many RSS feeds I needed a quick function to convert RSS publish date to a valid MYSQL datetime string. A quick Google search revealed 2 things: There was not a copy and paste function readily available There were many unanswered posts asking for such a function So I thought I would take a few minutes out of my afternoon to put together a quick solution. The code: […]
